Bio

Jody Stevens is a singer-songwriter and record producer based in Nashville, TN.

In 2009, Stevens and fellow songwriter James Harrison signed with Republic Nashville as the duo Fast Ryde, releasing three singles, including “That Thang,” which reached No. 38 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

In 2013, Stevens continued to build his career as a songwriter through a joint-venture publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing and KP Entertainment, where he remains signed today.

Stevens is the co-writer behind several No. 1 country hits, including “Let Me See Ya Girl” by Cole Swindell, “Home Alone Tonight” by Luke Bryan (ft. Karen Fairchild), and “I Was Jack (You Were Diane)” by Jake Owen.

As a producer, Stevens has played a significant role in shaping the sound of modern country music. He co-produced numerous Luke Bryan singles—among them “Kick the Dust Up,” “Strip It Down,” “Home Alone Tonight,” “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day,” “Move,” “Fast,” “Light It Up,” “Most People Are Good,” “Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset,” “What Makes You Country,” “Knockin’ Boots,” and “What She Wants Tonight.” He also co-produced Bryan’s albums What Makes You CountryKill the Lights, and Spring Break…Checkin’ Out. In addition, Stevens produced Cole Swindell’s breakout debut single, “Chillin’ It.”

Stevens is the son of acclaimed songwriter Jeff Stevens, known for writing hits for artists such as George Strait and Tim McGraw.
