Davis Corley

Bio

Davis Corley is a songwriter, musician, and poet from the Appalachian foothills of East Tennessee. Son of a music pastor and a ceramic potter, Davis grew up in a creatively rich environment, instilling in him at an early age a love for the beauty of lyric and melody. Visiting the Bluebird Cafe with his father at 10 years old, Davis was self-described as being “captured” by the performances, and his dreams and sights were firmly set on growing up to be a Nashville songwriter. While his friends filled their rooms with the sounds of contemporary Top-40 music, Davis delved into the past and worked his way forward - absorbing and studying the greatest composers of American song…in hopes of one day being counted among them.

“I’ve always loved a wide variety of music, so long as it moved me,” Corley says, “but more often than not it was Country music that told the stories I wanted to tell. I think that’s what always made Nashville the destination in my mind, it truly is the capitol of musical storytelling.” Not having to forsake his beloved home state of Tennessee didn’t hurt either.

Now 8 years into his Nashville career, Davis’ depth of thought, unique creativity, and commitment to craft have made him a trusted and coveted commodity as a co-writer and multi-instrumentalist. In addition to two Texas-chart topping #1 singles (“Not Too Far To Reach” - Jake Ward, “Tractor Town” - Jake Bush), his songs have earned placement in the recorded catalogues of many of Music City’s most promising young artists including Will Jones, Dan Smalley, Trey Lewis, Ella Langley, Josh Gallagher, Spencer Crandall, and others. In 2022, it also earned him a worldwide publishing agreement with Sony Music Publishing Nashville and KP Entertainment.
